‘did you make it?’

yup- on saturday, i rode 53 miles on a bicycle for pedal for promise. first time on a bike for a couple years probably, and definitely the longest ride i’ve ever done- the last long one being through the forest near Wankendorf in Germany, oh about 7 years ago? and that one almost killed me. it was possibly 20 miles. but i achieved something i personally thought was going to be impossible.

and then on sunday i got to go to my two favourite churches in camden- sacred heart and circle of hope.

and today… well, today is monday, so i’ll be making some lunch for our house and heading out to camp.

tomorrow? community service down in south camden and then out to camp… life goes on. and i’m so glad it does and that i’m part of it again.

(facebook is being weird on our network now, so i won’t be on there very often… )

Good Heavens…53 miles?!? And you’re still able to walk? hee hee

Congrats on the ride, and Way to Go!!!!!

It’s a good feeling to achieve the impossible, isn’t it. :)

yup. surprisingly, i actually could walk afterward- swollen butt cheeks, but other than that, pretty good. i think it helped that we took it pretty slow most of the way, and that there was a big group of us and lots of encouragement… i actually really enjoyed the experience! yeah, achievement!

And looking at the photos on facebook you look like you have just ridden 53 miles! Well done. When I told Mum her comment was “What? on her own?……”

We are just back from Tenerife – just in time as all the Scottish Airports are closed tomorrow due to more ash.
