well, three days ago (i guess this is the fourth day, technically, we set off friday lunch time) Heather and i set off from LA on our epic cross country road trip… and so far, we’ve made it to utah.

lets tell this story in pictures, shall we?

crossing a state line…

the Hoover Dam

a hybrid bike we picked up for $5!!! from a crazy yard sale at the ‘doggy dude ranch’. in the back of our rental car… (when we thought there was an easy fix to our car troubles… there’s not)

zion national park. there is no way for any picture i post to do this place justice. frickin’ awesome.

our poor broken down truck getting towed…

the motel we stayed at in Richfield….

and this is where i was when i started this post… the internet is pretty slow, and i just styarted our fire (lets hope it takes well…) so i’m signing off for now…

i’ll tell you about the helpful people along the way at a later date…

  1. Michael says:

Sweet ass computer cover you got there.

  2. suz says:

right? wait, are you awake right now? or, are you busy right now? i need to call you…

  3. Lizzie says:

why are there no pictures of your new friends or the mechanics?????
I suppose those will come later.

    • suz says:

well, we were too traumatised in St George (cost of fixing cars etc) to take pictures of our new friends.. but since we’ll be hanging out with our newest friends all day tomorrow, i’m sure we’ll take some pictures… :)

  4. emma says:

so, poisonwood bible… how you finding that?! also… see ya soon! very excited.

  5. suz says:

really really enjoying the poisonwood bible… makes me grimace sometimes, but it’s really good. i met a professor in vancouver who’s also a retired pastor, and he loves using it to teach his classes…
looking forward to seeing you too!! :) YAY!
